Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town คือเกม remake ที่รวมเนื้อหาจากเกม Game Boy Advance ทั้งสองภาคอย่าง Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town และ Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town เข้าไว้ด้วยกัน และนำมาวางจำหน่ายบน Nintendo Switch สาเหตุที่ชื่อซีรีส์ในตลาดต่างประเทศเปลี่ยนจาก Harvest Moon มาเป็น Story of Seasons นั้น เป็นเพราะ Natsume ยังคงถือครองสิทธิ์ในชื่อ Harvest Moon เอาไว้ หลังจากที่ Marvelous ตัดสินใจจัดจำหน่ายเกมผ่านค่ายของตัวเองอย่าง XSEED Games แทน
